Tech Taniwha
Our purpose is to create a thriving, supportive and sustainable community [/remote and in-person network] of Tech Taniwha (future leaders), who [through story telling and tool application] are able to successfully navigate Te Ao Hangarau [the Tech world] and rise to the top of their own Maunga.Born out of Tāmakimakaurau, we host monthly events and have a growing online community. We have big plans in the works and we would love for you to join us on this haerenga/journey.Ko au te awa. Ko te awa ko au.
Tech Taniwha or Supporter?
Our community is made up of Tech Taniwha and Supporters.
Ko wai koe? Which one are you?
Tech Taniwha: whakapapa Māori, 1-10 years in tech or looking to get into the industry (from school, uni, trades or another industry).
Supporter: Māori and non-Māori, (if you are Māori then +10 years in the tech industry), looking to uplift Māori in tech through support of spaces, kai, funding, being a kaikōrero (speaker) and connecting us to your kaimahi Māori.
